Branding
The project brief was to create the branding and marketing materials for My Brother's Teacher, an innovative fellowship program that diversifies the early learning workforce by increasing the number of Black and Brown teachers in the classroom.
Design Concept
The client wanted a logo that conveyed strength, boldness, and prestige. I created a few concepts using a shield shape to represent solidity. The final concept has a unique monogram created from the program's initials in the center of the shield. I created a sword from the "T" to represent valor. For the colors, gold represents boldness and knowledge while black conveys pride.
Final Design
A final design was selected after the concept was reviewed by leadership and the demographic of high school-aged students. Final steps included creating a horizontal logo, creating black and white options, developing an identity guide for visual branding guidance, and applying for a registered trademark for nation-wide use as MBT grows.
Marketing Materials
Marketing collateral included webpages within the Cultivate Learning website, and printed informational materials like factsheets, apparel, and other promotional gear.
